But you might say, "I'm not that bad a person. I try to do right, and I love people. Why should I need to be saved from sin? I wouldn't say I'm so sinful."
Maybe you're right. You're maybe not all that bad a person. That is, you're not all that bad compared to someone you're thinking of who's worse than you. But how do you stack up against absolute pefection? God, the Father is absolutely perfect. To live in the perfect world He has prepared for us, we must be absolutely perfect too. Otherwise there is no way we can enjoy the perfect joy and peace He has planned for us. The good news is we can become spotlessly clean -- free to live apart from sin and evil.
The bottom line is, if you're not already aware of your own sin, you're not ready for this. If that is you, don't bother going any further. Back out of this page now.
If you are aware of your sin, God has been convicting you. That
means He's calling you. He loves you and wants you to enter a special relationship
with Him.

You see, God set a plan into place by which Jesus, the only sinless human who ever lived or ever will live, could voluntarily lay down his life in our place. When Jesus did this, some 2000 years ago, He enabled us to have our sins forgiven -- our slates wiped clean -- just by turning to Him.
That's it. Once you've asked Him to be Lord of your life, you
may sense some immediate changes. Or it may take a little while before
you notice any changes. But you will change. When you accept Jesus Christ,
your old self dies and a new spirit is born in you. God will help you change.
It will be for the better. Trust Him. He will not let you down.
