One of the greatest things God has done to show us His love is to make a way in which we can enter into eternal life in a beautiful place without sin, and without even anything to make us feel stressed or depressed. God is holy and without sin and He wants us to join Him in that beautiful place.
Stop and picture that place for a minute. First picture the world you live in now. Picture the good things -- the beautiful places you've been -- picture the perfect temperature and a fresh smell in the air. Now think about the things that make your world less than perfect. Think for a moment about what disappoints you. Think about how much of a difference it makes when you bring sin (deceipt, envy, selfishness, etc.) back into the picture.
Now picture the most perfect place you can imagine -- in terms of sights, sounds, smells, feel -- everything. Nothing bad at all. No pressures. No sin. Now picture it even better still. You're starting to think about what it's like in God's presence.
But here's the problem. None of us is perfect. If God lets us into a perfect place, what happens? It immediately becomes imperfect and starts to go downhill. So He can't let us in as we are now. It is impossible. Imperfect people like us cannot enter into a perfect place and have it remain perfect.
But here is where His incredible love comes in. He made a way that we can change and become perfect so we can enter the perfect place He has prepared for us. If you haven't heard about how He has done that, you need to find out how!
